As you all know I've been busy working on my business adding different programs, restructuring and adding yoga services. You all know I'm a person that whole heartedly believes in a life of balance--balancing the mind, body and spirit. As a Dietitian my expertise is obviously food and nutrition and as an aspiring yoga teacher (almost done with my 200hr) I like to bring the gift of mindfulness on and off the mat. But I wanted to offer more...
When I first started thinking of my practice I had this vision of being a one stop shop. I somehow wanted to incorporate exercise into my business. I mean I can't discuss nutrition without speaking about exercise. I feel some sort of exercise is a big part of being balanced. And I'm not talking about intense physical exertion. I'm just saying getting out, moving around and being physically active. I can only guide and advise to a certain extent when it comes to exercise and in my experience I have found people want more. People want accountability and programs for exercise not just me talking about it. So I started to seek out personal trainers/experts in their field, who shared the same passion and enthusiasm for a healthy lifestyle and could tailor exercise programs (of any level) to those who wanted it. And guess what? I found just the person! I found her when I wasn't looking and I love her!!!! So without further ado- I introduce to you all Jennifer Broughton of Two Fit Girls. www.twofitgirlsnc.com
She is such a fun personality and her vision of health and wellness lines up with my philosophy. We believe in balance. We believe in having fun. We believe in empowerment and encouragement. We believe that exercise and eating healthy can work for anyone and everyone! We believe in MIND, BODY & SPIRIT!
There's more work to be done, we've got more brainstorming to do, but I wanted to announce this new found friendship and collaboration because for anyone coming to me for nutrition guidance know that Jen (Two Fit Girls) is a great resource in the exercise department. Together Jen and I bring together nutrition and exercise so that you can be successful in your goals, happy and healthy.
