On this first day of 2019, I challenge you to ditch the diets for the sake of weight loss (you all know what I mean- it’s the weight loss to look good for summer kind of weight loss), ditch the extreme and unsustainable goals, but instead dig deep and really reflect on you! What do you want? What drives you? What makes you feel good? The key factor here is YOU! Only you can answer this question.
Do we all have some form of an Eating Disorder?
I typically stay away from these types of topics on blog posts. Ok, I lied. I stay away from these topics period because, to some, it may be offensive, and I never like to offend anyone. But I’m writing this today because it’s important that we start the conversation; that we become aware. This topic that I’m referring to is Eating Disorders.
Going against the norm- I'm not your typical Dietitian
First, let me start off by saying, this is downright scary! Using my voice, putting it out there for all to read is incredibly scary, especially when expressing myself in words on paper don’t come all that easily to me. The other thing that’s scary is expectations. Most people, in my experience, expect some sort of diet advice and usually it has to do with weight or the latest thing they heard from an article/post/headline. If you can’t tell, from the title of this blog post, there’s a twist…I’m not your typical Dietitian.
